Do I look like?

By · Jul 22 2011

I don’t have one of “those faces.” You know, the ones that look like a celeb. I’ve never really worried about not having a doppelganger, or being one. In fact, I am quite content just being me. I feel beautiful for all sorts of reasons, and while it has taken 25-or-so years, I am happy as a clam just the way I am.

I guess what I am saying is I finally am getting to that point where I feel comfortable with the image I present to the world, and not crazy self conscious.

But, it is always funny when you’re told you look like someone. And do you know who I got the other day?

None other than Abigail Breslin. Suddenly all of those thoughts I had about looking mature faded away. At least she’s adorable.

What do you think?

The only other one I’ve ever gotten is Mischa Barton. Which was fine when she was a hot girl from The OC, but when I was being told I looked like her it was the drunk, stumbling out of a bar years. So awesome.

Anyway, I shall go back to being comfortable in my own skin. It feels better. And at lease I can kiss my worries goodbye that the skin around my eyes is starting to age. If I look like Abigail, anti-aging creme should not be my worry.

Wearing my “weekend casual look.” I went grocery shopping and to Redbox in this outfit, where I totally witnessed a fight at the Redbox. Gotta love it. Also? We rented the Zac Efron sleeper Me and Orson Welles. Horrible:
Super long sweater: Anthropologie
Necklace: Forever 21
Black tee: Shade Clothing
Jeggings: Gap
Booties: Forever 21
Hair: I feel like I do have to credit it to The Drybar.

When I was in high school, the principal’s secretary went on and on about how I looked like Charlotte Church. I don’t think I look anything like her. People see what they want to see, I suppose. Like when people say my daughter looks so much like me or so much like my husband. To us, she looks like Kate because that is who she is.

  2. Abigail Breslin?! Is it wrong that I just laughed out loud? And yes, dear, your hair is still looking FABULOUS! Good job, Dry Bar!

  3. Katie says:

I guess I could see it. Not a super strong resemblance, but maybe somewhat. I don’t think I look like any celebrities either.

  4. Ru says:

Yeah, I can see it. At least be glad your dopplegangers are cute – I don’t even want to talk about mine. :p (People have been telling me I look like Joan Cusack since I was 15. There’s nothing wrong with Joan Cusack, but what 15 year old wants to hear that? Gave me a complex.)

  5. Miranda says:

You look like a very healthy version of Misha Barton even before she went off the deep end.

  6. Quest for Fashion Sense says:

Haha, yeah, I can see the resemblance to Abigail Breslin – she’s really grown up since Little Miss Sunshine.

Hair’s looking fabulous and the pictures look great! I especially liked the third one. ;D

  7. Natalie you are gorgeous!!!! I can see a little resemblance to Abigail Breslin! She is so pretty! Your hair looks amazing by the way. Hope you have a great weekend girl!

  8. Jessica @ Acting Adult says:

I see Mischa more than Abigail. But I always think it’s interesting to hear who other people are compared to.

you are adorable, that is for sure!

sorry if i ruined your book review post the other day…i did say it made me a bit bi-polar, i should have just kept my response to myself:(

  10. Tammy Z says:

you remind me so much of blake lively from gossip girl, who i think is very attractive…except you have enough class not to go around taking and publicizing nude pics of yourself. :P

  11. [...] After our mega walk, I was itching like crazy. So bad that we canceled our dinner reservations. Husband laughed at me while I danced around and applied Eucerin like it was going out of style. Finally he ran to Rite Aid (fourth time that day!) to get some Benadryl. I itched and itched and we watched the classic No Reservations, which I am sure is Catherine Zeta-Jones proudest moment. Hey it does star my lookalike Abigail Breslin. [...]

must admit there is a little Abigal. I was reading Julie Andrews bio, and saw a little of you in a young Julie Andrews.
