Honesty and its best policy

I woke up last Monday morning needing to go to the doctor. So I call them up and ask them to alert me if there is a cancellation.
A few minutes later they call back and start asking me about my symptoms. Thinking that I know where my symptoms are headed should this persist – and that I want to be triaged ahead of everyone else in line – I may have embellished my current state. Not exaggerated to the point of near-death, but flourished.
She hangs up to review with the doctor. Then she calls me back.
“Well, we could have just called in your prescription but since you are experiencing pain, you’re going to have to go to Instacare. We don’t have any appointments.”
Sigh. Lying gets you no where kids. No where. Though calling up customer service does — they got me an appointment for the next day. Boom.
Blue and orange is my favorite color combo these days. For some reason I just think orange and blue look great together.
I eyed a new dress or a few new shirts but I shopped my closet to put this together, and I was pleased with the result. The jacket wouldn’t normally work for the hot summer, but it was perfect indoors in the air conditioning. I freeze all day long, and I liked having this draped over my legs at my desk.

That’s a great office outfit. I work in a casual office and it’s so easy to get stuck in the “jeans” rut.
I hear you about the doctor thing – I recently had something very similar occur. Ha.
This is my favorite outfit yet!! GORGEOUS. I’m in love with the shirt, the skirt is perfect and the orange coat is amazing.

Ha! I saw the jacket and thought, huh. That looks like mine. And then I saw WHAT the jacket was…I have that same jacket! And usually wear it with a navy dress.
