Getting our Disney on
By · Nov 21 2011Can you believe this guy had never been to Disneyland until last week? This was something we had to fix before we moved. The time between Halloween and Christmas proved to be the perfect time. Our longest wait was 30 minutes and we had no issues getting into shows — even on a weekend. Thank goodness because I have an irrational fear of crowds and Disneyland was not the place I wanted to deal with it.
Disney does magic right. You just feel like a kid again. It’s amazing how they pull that off. I got a little emotional during the parade. We laughed and really enjoyed being together.
It has been 10 years since I last ventured to Disneyland — for our high school biology trip. I had never been to California Adventure, so there was a lot of new for me too. World of Color, the night show, is amazing. So magical. So Disney.

Oh, and we’re now annual pass holders. It was a better deal than a multi-day park hopper because of our SoCal zipcode. With the cheaper pass and then getting 10 percent off all merchandise and food, we were quite impressed with ourselves. Now we are thinking of slipping back up to Disneyland when we are back in San Diego in May for my graduation.

I pretty much ate junk the whole time. From deep fried food to massive amounts of ice cream to red velvet cake. I covered all options for sweets.
Aw Disney. Thanks for working your magic on us. We heart you.

Life is scattered, like bobby pins in your bathroom drawer, no? Dance backwards in high heels with me. Let's talk clothes and news. I *love* clothes and news.

I love Disney too – and I am so not a Disney person, but Disneyland can be so fun.

Your poor deprived husband! Sounds like a fun day! I’ve never been to Disneyland but I worked at Disney World and I think I’d live there if I could! Nothing like it!
I’ve never been to Disneyland either- though that will be remedied for my birthday next month! Sounds like fun!

Aww, I’m so jealous! I’m a Disney freak and have never been to Disneyland, the park that Walt built. Someday I’ll get Hubs to take me out there.
I am BEYOND certain that if I could live in Disneyland, I would never seize ever again.
Oh fun.
I love Disneyland. And you look really pretty in the picture with Minnie.
You two are SO adorable. This makes me want to go to Disneyland right now.
